My Wishlist for the April 2018 Sephora VIB Sale

Well, it's that time of year again where I get to obsessively pore over my Sephora "loves" list for the most useful, want-able, and highly-rated skincare and makeup products I can find.  Twice a year, Sephora offers 15% off EVERYTHING in your shopping cart.  No exclusions.

This post is coming a little late for VIB Rouge members...those lucky ducks got access to the sale on April 13th.  But, given that you have to spend $1000 in one year to achieve the coveted VIB Rouge status, I'm guessing that Rouges don't need my help in finding ways to spend their money.

VIB members (those who have spent $350 at Sephora in the last year) will have access to the sale from April 20-23.  Just add the code YAYVIB at checkout for that sweet 15% off.  And Beauty Insiders (anyone who has signed up on the Sephora website with their email) will get 10% off from April 20-23 with the code YAYINSIDER.

So without any further preamble, I'll here are the items most likely to make their way to my doorstep next week.

Giorgio Armani Face Fabric Foundation

I first heard of this when Lindsey from the Full Coverage Podcast raved about it in the podcast's Facebook group.  The name itself is intriguing enough to make me want to give it a try and the description is even more alluring:

Face Fabric blurs the look of pores and imperfections with a natural matte finish. At first touch, the foundation is a soft mousse, but as it spreads across the skin it melts into a powder. This foundation has a second skin fit thanks to its 3D stretch technology, which allows the formula to move naturally with your skin. It leaves the complexion looking retexturized and smooth.

I don't always gravitate towards matte foundation but it may be just what my oily skin needs, especially after all the serums, moisturizers, and SPF I use during the day.  Unfortunately, it's not currently available at my local Sephoras and so I'll have to take a risk and buy it without testing first if I want it.  At least Sephora has a great return policy!

Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM

I've been meaning to try this since Nicki, one of my favorite skincare bloggers, recommended it.  Because of the high concentration of retinol, it may not be appropriate for sensitive skin and it is definitely not for you if you have not already acclimated to a lower strength retinol. My skin seems to be able to handle a lot and I'm not sure I'm really getting any results with my current retinol from The Ordinary.  This would be a pretty big step up but the formula is microencapsulated for a slow release, which means increased effectiveness and decreased irritation.

Bobbi Brown Skin Nourish Coral Grass & Green Algae Moisture Mask

I don't know how this happened but all of my face masks have some sort of chemical exfoliation component to them.  I love a good chemical exfoliating session but sometimes I want a mask that just adds moisture!  This mask seems to be universally beloved and I'm excited to see if it can smooth out fine lines.

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40

Yay for new sunscreen!!!  I just finished a bottle of Josh Rosebrook Nutrient Day Cream which I really enjoyed but I think will be too heavy for the upcoming summer months (summer is still coming, right?!?!?!).  This one sounds very nice and light and I'm so glad that it offers protection from blue light as well!!

SPF for all you sunscreen skeptics. Made with the cleanest ingredients, this totally innovative, antioxidant-rich, invisible, weightless, scentless daily SPF smooths and preps skin for makeup while providing broad-spectrum SPF 40 protection. The unique oil-free formula glides onto skin, providing oil and shine control and leaving a velvety, makeup-gripping finish. Red algae helps protect against the harmful effects of blue light—the light emitted from our phones and computers—while meadowfoam seed oil increases skin hydration for a more even skin texture, with or without makeup.

I am seriously pumped to try this.

So that's probably all (or more) than I'll be able to afford this time around so I have them all in my shopping list ready to go.  There are few other things I'm regretfully going to have to leave behind, including:

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
Surratt Relevee Lash Curler
YSL Glossy Stain
IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream
Hourglass Ambient Blush

Oh well, maybe next time.

Tell me, do you have anything you've been waiting for the sale to buy?  Have you tried any of my picks?
