I just had one of those weeks that makes me want to say "thank you" to the universe for the life I'm living in this beautiful world. I celebrated my birthday with my favorite Portland people - drinking, dancing, beach-ing, and barbecuing. Ever since my 21st birthday, when I was robbed at gunpoint in Nicaragua (yup...and that was after a nasty stomach bug had its fun with me), I've had a superstition that trying to celebrate a birthday is just asking for trouble. But I think now my decade-long fear has finally been laid to rest. I am incredibly grateful for my wonderful friends, my beautiful city/state, and the lovely life I lead. With that, here are a few other things that have caught my attention this week.
Aren't these daily love cards beautiful and uplifting?
These recipes for essential oil room sprays will make your rooms smell as good as they look (er, or better if you've been too busy to clean like me!!)
This rundown of how the chakras work and how to balance them is really inspiring me to learn more. (E.g. did you know that decluttering your space can help free your 1st chakra??)
Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't also say farewell to Prince today. I'll be listening to Purple Rain today as the Portland rain makes a return. Goodbye, Prince, we'll miss you.
