Last week, during a long layover at the Seattle airport, I decided to gift myself with a little self-pampering (vacations always make me more indulgent). My gate was directly next to a Butter London manicure studio and so, after a moment's hesitation, I gathered my bags and began to survey the color options. So many to choose from! With the dizzying array of reds, pinks, blues, etc. I ended up settling on a neutral, champagne-y hue. I wanted something that would be unobtrusive for work and ladylike. As soon as it was on my fingers, I knew I loved it and a week later I'm still feeling the same.
Right after I paid and left, I managed to get myself on an earlier flight and I spent the whole ride home feeling utterly self-conscious about stinking up the seats in my vicinity with nail-polish smell. At least the trip from Seattle to Portland only takes 45-minues and the plane was empty enough that I had the whole row to myself. I'll probably think again before engaging in the particular type of pampering in an airport.
